Perhaps Cape Breton's finest traditional musician, Buddy MacMaster is seen here in a classic performance, recorded live at the elegant Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay.
This special concert is woven together with excerpts from various sessions and scenery filmed all over Cape Breton Island. Duets with Buddy's niece Natalie MacMaster and Ireland's great fiddler, Sean McGuire.
Excerpts from a session at Mabou's Red Shoe Pub, a typical Christmas Island Dance, the Judique Flyer CD release party, and a Christmas concert filmed at the church in Glencoe are included.
Buddy is backed up on piano by one of Cape Breton's finest accompanists, Joey Beaton.
All Buddy's classic tunes are found in this 90 minute video as well as some of the finest Cape Breton scenery. A one hour version of "Buddy in Concert" was recently broadcast on Bravo TV.
